Cost Efficient:
30,000 to 100,000 hour life span- no maintenance and no life cycle costs.
Eco-Friendly:
The light that is produced from an LED bulb is considered to be a cool light. They reduce environmental impact and do not have toxic lead, mercury, phosphor, glass, Ultraviolet Ray and Infrared Ray.
Energy Efficient:
They are extremely efficient and require very little current to illuminate. No burn out failure, 80% light output at rated life, no flicker or stroboscopic effect, instant on, no reflector light loss and cold temperature compatible. LEDs are directional light distribution, it provides flexibility in lighting environment, more energy efficient and no more wasted lights. It can be 30°, 60° & 90° angles of light distribution in light bulb and 170° light distribution in lamp tube. 20Watt LED lamp is compared to standard 40 Watt compact fluorescent or 60Watt Traditional incandescent and halogen lamp.
Color:
LED emits excellent color saturation. There are wide ranges of color temperature such as Warm White 3000K, Daylight or Commercial light 4500K and Cool white 6000K.It is easier to get a wide array of color in LEDs that cannot always be done with regular bulbs. They don't require filters to produce different colors, because of the design of the diode. This makes it much easier to get them in nearly any color you can think of, even neon shades.
Durable:
LED’s are manufactured within an epoxy resin epoxy, which means that they are virtually indestructible.LED lighting are built to last and have extremely long life. They have a much longer lifetime than your average bulb .
Reliable:
LED lamp tubes and bulbs also emit a much higher percentage of light in the desired direction, silent operation and resistance to heat, cold and shock.
On/Off Timer:
It takes microseconds for the LED light to achieve its maximum level of brightness. This means that it can have an on/off time quicker and more efficient. You will often see solar powered LED lights with battery backups for this reason.
Extreme Temperature:
LED technology has the ability to operate in extreme climates, hot or cold. LED fittings can be designed to operate from -55 C to +65 C. At the extreme low end of the temperature range, LEDs will actually increase light output representing 67%-85% reduction in energy consumption and a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
Size:
LEDs are very small as a result, the optics used with LEDs can also be made very small. They can be as small as 2mm in size or less which makes it possible to use them in places you could not use an ordinary bulb or lighting source. This opens up many doors of opportunity to how you will use your LEDs.
Dimming Controls:
LED technology allows the lights to be dimmed with simple circuitry, and paired with occupancy sensors to create a ‘smart’ lighting system. Current dimming options include STEP dimming for specified light level percentages (typically 25%, 50% and 100%).Advanced dimming can also be considered for an ‘intelligent’ lighting system as an automated response to a specified task, user requirement or environmental change. When LED light fitting are paired with different sensors, the system can react and improve or decrease light levels with the presence of certain gases, dust or fire.
